QUICK START GUIDE

Install Parachart

Create A Category

Add Posts to Category

Create New Parachart and Select Category

Add Parachart to page using shortcode [parachart name=â€Chart Nameâ€] or Parachart plugin

Installing Parachart

Installing Parachart Using Browser Upload

Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel

Click Appearance => Plugins => Add New

Click Upload Plugin button near top of page

Click Choose File and browse to parachart.zip

Click Install Now then click Activate

Installing Parachart Using Cpanel/FTP

Unzip parachart.zip

Upload unzipped file to wp-content/plugins

Go to Plugins => Installed Plugins in Wordpress Administration Panel

Click Activate on Parachart

Creating A Parachart

Create Category

Go to Posts => Categories

Enter Category Information in form on the left

Click Add New Category button

Create Posts

Go to Posts => Add New in the Wordpress Administration Panel

Enter post title and content

Choose Category from the categories menu on the bottom right

Click Set Featured Image on the bottom right

Choose image from Media Library or Upload Files from computer

Click Set Featured Image button on bottom right of panel

This will be the image used for the parallax effect

You can add multiple posts to the same category and they will be displayed by the chart

Create Chart

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click Add New Chart button

Click button to open the settings

Enter Chart Name

Choose the category of posts you want

Change any settings to your liking

Click Save button

You have now successfully created a chart!

Editing A Parachart

Chart Name

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Enter Chart Name

Click Save button

Posts’ Category

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Select categoryPosts’ Category

Click Save button

Width

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Enter Width

Click Save button

Height

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Enter Height

Click Save button

Item Padding

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Enter Padding

Click Save button

Transparency

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Enter Transparency

Click Save button

Title Color

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Click Select Color

Enter a hex value or choose from the color picker

Click Save button

Display Content

Go to Plugins => Parachart

Click button to open the settings

Select Display Content

Click Save button

Inserting Parachart

Insert Into Page

A Parachart Shortcode Looks like this [parachart name=â€Chart Nameâ€]

Make sure the name you enter matches your chart name exactly.

Spaces are counted

Enter your shortcode into the page content

Save Page

Insert Into Post

Save Post

Insert Parachart Plugin

Go to Appearance => Customize in the Wordpress Administration Panel

Click Plugins on the left hand side

Select where you want the parachart to appear on page

Select Parachart plugin

Enter Title

Choose from the Chart dropdown

Click Save button on the bottom right

If you are using a drag and drop page builder the Parachart plugin will be available
