Plugin Description

UmiPay connects your restaurant menu to WordPress without creating a second menu to maintain.

  • Add the UmiPay Menu block in the WordPress editor.
  • Use the [umipay_menu] shortcode in classic editors and page builders.
  • Set a restaurant once, or override it per block.
  • Responsive iframe height and configurable corner radius.
  • Compatible with WooCommerce pages and themes.
  • Menu data, images, extras, checkout, and orders stay managed in UmiPay.

WooCommerce compatibility in version 1.0.0 means the UmiPay ordering experience can be placed inside a WooCommerce-powered site. UmiPay remains the checkout and order source; orders are not duplicated into WooCommerce.

Shortcode

Basic usage:

[umipay_menu]

Optional per-page settings:

[umipay_menu restaurant=”yourrestaurant” radius=”18″ min_height=”760″]

External services

This plugin connects to the UmiPay software-as-a-service platform at https://umipay.se. The service is required to display and operate the restaurant menu, extras, ordering, checkout, and payment experience.

The connection occurs only on pages where a site owner has placed the UmiPay Menu block or [umipay_menu] shortcode. The visitor’s browser loads the UmiPay embed script from https://umipay.se/embed.js and the configured restaurant menu from https://umipay.se/{restaurant-slug}.

The restaurant slug is included in the menu URL. As with a normal website request, the visitor’s IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and request metadata may be received by UmiPay. If the visitor interacts with the menu or places an order, the information they enter and the selections they make are processed by UmiPay and the payment providers presented by the UmiPay service. The WordPress plugin itself does not copy UmiPay orders into the WordPress or WooCommerce database and does not add independent analytics or tracking.

By configuring a restaurant and publishing the UmiPay Menu block or shortcode, the site owner chooses to connect that page to the UmiPay service. More information about the service is available at https://umipay.se.
