Plugin Description

Let visitors pick a location on a map, right inside your Gravity Forms form

This add-on gives Gravity Forms a Location Picker field: interactive map where visitors can pick a location to choose a place. The coordinates are saved with the entry, shown on a map in the admin, and included in notifications, merge tags and CSV exports. It also adds address autocomplete to the standard Gravity Forms Address field – no separate autocomplete add-on required.

Location Picker + Address Autocomplete in one Gravity Forms add-on

  • ✓ Google Maps, OpenStreetMap & Mapbox
  • ✓ Single & multiple locations
  • ✓ Google & Mapbox address autocomplete
  • ✓ Native Gravity Forms Address field autocomplete
  • ✓ Maps in entries and entry editing
  • ✓ AJAX, multi-page forms & conditional logic

Three map providers

  • OpenStreetMap – works out of the box, no API key and no billing account. Leaflet is bundled.
  • Google Maps – your own API key, with address search powered by Google Places.
  • Mapbox – your own token, with address search powered by the Mapbox Search Box API.

The provider is chosen per field, so different forms can use different maps.

Picking locations

  • Click the map to drop a marker. Single location, or multiple locations.
  • Drag a marker to move it – on all three providers.
  • Click a marker to remove it, with a confirmation bubble in place over the map rather than a browser alert.
  • Optional list of chosen locations under the map. Click a row to centre the map on it.
  • Address search box above the map, so visitors can type an address instead of hunting for it.
  • Restrict suggestions to up to five countries.

Address autocomplete for the native Gravity Forms Address field

Switch it on per Address field. As the visitor types in Street Address, suggestions appear; choosing one fills street, city, state, ZIP and country in one go. State and Country are dropdowns, and they are matched by ISO code rather than by name, so it still works on translated sites.

Built for the form editor

  • Live map preview inside the editor – not a grey placeholder.
  • Set the starting centre and zoom by dragging the preview map and pressing a button, instead of typing coordinates.
  • Map height, zoom, provider, multiple locations, the locations list and the instruction text are all per field.

Entries, notifications and exports

  • A read-only map above the coordinates when an entry is opened, with every submitted marker on it.
  • Choose the coordinate format: decimal degrees or degrees, minutes and seconds.
  • Choose the map link: link the coordinates, add a separate “View on map” link, or no link.
  • Editing an entry gives the full picker, so a submitted location can be corrected.
  • Merge tags output readable coordinates, never raw JSON.
  • CSV exports always stay in decimal degrees so the file remains machine readable.
  • Works with conditional logic.

Translation ready

Every string is translatable, and the plugin ships with a POT template plus ready translations for German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian. In degrees/minutes/seconds even the hemisphere letters are localised.

Requirements

  • Gravity Forms 2.5 or newer
  • WordPress 6.0 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer
  • A Google Maps API key or Mapbox token only if you use those providers – OpenStreetMap needs neither

Also included

  • Illustrated HTML documentation covering setup, API keys, every field setting, provider comparison and troubleshooting.
  • Works with both legacy and modern Gravity Forms markup, and with the Gravity Forms theme framework.
  • Submitted coordinates are validated server-side for reliable, safe entry data.
