Plugin Description
Pixlio – Image Editor adds a dedicated image workspace to your WordPress administration.
Image editing runs locally in your browser. No external AI, API key, account or paid image-processing service is needed.
- Browse, search and sort your WordPress images; show Studio saves separately.
- Open WordPress media or an image from your computer.
- Crop, resize, rotate and add editable text.
- Compose image/text layers; change order, visibility, position and opacity.
- Merge visible layers to make space for new layers.
- Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation; use monochrome, warm and vivid presets.
- Undo/redo up to 30 operations. Large bitmap histories may keep fewer steps to reduce memory use.
- Save a new PNG or JPEG to WordPress, or download it to your computer.
- Light/dark theme and Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Korean and Spanish interface. Choose automatic site-language detection or a manual language in Settings. WordPress gettext language packs are supported, with bundled translations as fallback.
The original image is never overwritten. Images are saved as flattened copies.
Project/layer persistence across browser sessions is not included in this edition.
Input: PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF. Animated images are flattened to one still frame.
Output: PNG and JPEG. JPEG transparency becomes white.
Limits: 8192 pixels per side, 24 megapixels, 20 MB per source/output or the lower WordPress upload limit. A powerful desktop browser is recommended for large images.
Cloud-only/offloaded source files with no local copy are not supported in 0.1.0.
Non-proportional canvas resizing retains the text’s aspect ratio; use the text size control to refine typography.
Privacy: image pixels are processed in the browser. Loading/saving uses your own WordPress site and its configured media URLs. No telemetry, external scripts, external fonts or AI service is included.

WordPress管理画面に画像編集専用の「Pixlio – Image Editor」を追加します。
メディアライブラリの画像、またはパソコンの画像を読み込み、トリミング・リサイズ・回転・文字入れ・色調補正ができます。
画像・文字のレイヤーを重ねて編集できます。PNG/JPEGとしてダウンロード、またはWordPressに新規保存します。元画像は変更しません。
プラグイン一覧の「設定」から、WordPressのサイト言語に自動追従、または日本語・英語・簡体中文・한국어・Españolを選択できます。初期保存形式・JPEG画質・初期テーマも設定できます。未対応のサイト言語は英語になります。
レイヤーを維持したプロジェクト保存、背景透過ツール、ブラシ、PSD、WebP書き出しは含まれません。
未保存で離れる際に確認しますが、ブラウザの強制終了からの自動復元はありません。
色調補正は50%が元画像、100%が最大補正です。各辺8192px・2400万画素以内、画像容量20MB以内（読込・保存時はWordPressの上限も適用）で使用してください。
レイヤー数の固定制限はありませんが、大きな画像や多数のレイヤーでは動作が重くなるため、必要に応じて統合してください。
入力はPNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF、出力はPNG/JPEGです。アニメーションは静止画になり、JPEGの透明部分は白になります。
最大30操作の履歴を保持しますが、大きな画像では少なくなる場合があります。クラウドにしか元画像がないメディアには未対応です。
WordPressへの保存にはGDまたはImagickなど、対応した画像処理環境が必要です。
Development
All application source is included in assets/engine.js, assets/studio-controls.js, assets/studio.css, pixlio-image-editor.php, settings.php and i18n.php. No compilation or external dependencies are required.
The rendering engine is original code using Canvas 2D. No third-party image-editor library is bundled.
