Plugin Description
It saves the previous versions of your plugins when you update them.
If the new version of a plugin doesn’t work as expected you can go back simply by clicking on a previous plugin version in the page of plugins.
It works the same as the post revisions, but for plugins.
The old versions of your plugins will be saved but their folder will be renamed including a key that is impossible to guess.
This is to prevent hackers from exploiting old plugin versions saved in your server.
How to keep previous versions of a plugin when you update it
- Install and activate PlugVersions
- Done!
No settings for this plugin. This free version gives you the possibility to retain up to three previous versions of each plugin.
In the page of plugins you will find the previous versions under the action link “Revisions” of each plugin.
A higher number would cost in terms of the number of files stored in your server, and a lower number may be not enough.
A future PRO version that is under development will give you the possibility to set that number and much more.
