AssistantLabs – Personal Assistant For Your Website & Store Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
AssistantLabs gives your WordPress site and WooCommerce store a personal assistant that knows your business. It answers visitors in a chat bubble, answers questions about your products and orders, turns form submissions into contacts, and lets you manage your site from Claude, ChatGPT or WhatsApp. It never changes your live site on its own.
- Build an agent from your site. The agent reads your pages, posts and policies and is ready to answer customers in minutes. Already have an agent? Connect it instead.
- Chat on your site. Show your agent in a chat bubble on every page, or hide it on the pages you choose.
- Form leads into your CRM. Submissions from Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor Pro Forms and Gravity Forms become contacts in your AssistantLabs CRM, so your agent can follow up on WhatsApp.
- Manage your site from Claude, ChatGPT or WhatsApp. Ask for a new page, a better title, or an edit to your opening hours. The agent saves every change as a draft.
- Nothing goes live on its own. Every change waits on the Pending changes screen with a preview. Publish now, schedule it, or discard it.
On a WooCommerce store
Nothing to install or switch on: if WooCommerce is active, these features turn on by themselves, and they stay out of the way on a site without it.
- Your agent knows your store. Products, prices, stock, shipping zones, and your returns, terms and privacy pages become part of what your agent knows.
- Sales at a glance. Ask Claude, ChatGPT or WhatsApp “how did we do today?” and get orders, revenue and low-stock products.
- Draft first, always. Ask for a new product, a price change, a stock update or a coupon. New products and coupons are saved as drafts, and a change to a live product waits on the Pending changes screen until you publish it. Nothing reaches shoppers without your approval.
- Orders and customers in real time. New, paid and cancelled orders and new customers reach AssistantLabs as they happen, so your agent can answer “where is my order?” and your sales journeys can follow up. Everything is sent in the background with WooCommerce’s Action Scheduler and retried if AssistantLabs is briefly unavailable: checkout never waits for it.
- Abandoned-cart recovery (off by default). Turn on Recover abandoned carts in AssistantLabs Store. When a shopper types an email or phone number at checkout (classic or block checkout) and leaves without ordering, the cart is saved for 30 days and your sales journey can remind them with a link that restores it (
/?al_cart=…). - Cart links. Links like
/?al_add=12:1&coupon=WELCOME10fill a shopper’s cart with the products and coupon your agent or journey picked and open checkout. - Compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).
What AssistantLabs can and cannot do on your site
Once connected, AssistantLabs can read your pages and posts, save new pages and posts as drafts, and propose edits to existing ones. On a WooCommerce store it can also read your published products, categories, shipping and policy pages, look up an order by number together with the customer’s email or phone, and draft products and coupons. That is all. It cannot install or change plugins or themes, change settings, manage users, or sign in to your dashboard. Private and password-protected content is never edited.
Two more things are up to you. Both are off by default, and you can change them on the AssistantLabs screen at any time:
- Approve changes from Claude, ChatGPT or WhatsApp. When on, a change you approve there goes live (or is scheduled) without opening WordPress. When off, changes go live only when you publish them on the Pending changes screen.
- Show “AssistantLabs” as the author. When on, the plugin creates a WordPress user called AssistantLabs that has no permissions and cannot sign in, and credits the agent’s drafts and revisions to it. When off, no user is created and they are credited to the admin who connected the site.
An AssistantLabs account is required.
External services
This plugin connects to AssistantLabs (https://assistantlabs.io), the service that runs your AI agent. It sends data only after you connect your site, and only as described here.
- Connecting — when you click “Connect my agent” or “Build an agent from this site”, your browser goes to the AssistantLabs app to sign in. The plugin then sends AssistantLabs your site address, REST API address, site name and tagline, language, WordPress and plugin versions, a site ID and a shared signing secret.
- Your agent reading the site — after you connect, AssistantLabs calls this site’s REST API (namespace
assistantlabs/v1), signed with the shared secret, to read your pages, posts and drafts and, when you ask it to, to create drafts and proposed changes. It can publish a change only if you turned on approvals from Claude, ChatGPT or WhatsApp, and only after you approve that change. - Free integration meeting — the AssistantLabs screen shows a link to our booking page (https://booking.assistantlabs.io/book/assistantlabs). It is a plain link: the plugin sends nothing, and the page opens in a new tab only when you click it.
- Status and updates — the AssistantLabs admin screen asks AssistantLabs for your agent’s status. When you press “Update the agent from my site”, AssistantLabs reads the site again. The plugin never triggers this on its own.
- Form leads (off by default) — when you turn on Form leads, each submission of a supported form is sent to AssistantLabs: the form name, the page address and the fields the visitor filled in. Password and payment fields are never sent.
- Chat (off by default) — when you turn on the chat, visitors’ browsers load the chat script from the AssistantLabs app (assistantlabs-loader.js) and send their chat messages to AssistantLabs.
WooCommerce features (only when WooCommerce is active):
- When you connect — the plugin tells AssistantLabs that the store is here and which WooCommerce version it runs. It sends no API key and gives AssistantLabs no WordPress user with store permissions.
- When your agent reads the store — AssistantLabs calls this site, signed with the shared secret, through the plugin’s own read-only routes. It can read published products (with their prices, stock and options), product categories, shipping zones, policy pages, and a sales summary (order count, revenue, the latest orders with customer names, and low-stock products). The routes for products, categories and shipping also accept a key derived from the shared secret that opens those routes only; AssistantLabs uses it for the service that answers shoppers’ product questions.
- When a shopper asks about their order — AssistantLabs sends the order number together with the email address or phone number the shopper gave. The plugin answers only when that email or phone is on the order, and then only with its status, date, total, items, shipping method and tracking number — no name, address or contact details.
- When you import your customers — when you ask AssistantLabs to bring your store’s customers into its contacts, it reads your registered customers a page at a time: their name, email and phone.
- When your agent drafts changes — AssistantLabs asks this site to create draft products or coupons, or to store a proposed product change. They go live only when you publish them.
- Store events, while the site is connected — when an order is created, paid (processing or completed), cancelled, refunded or failed, the plugin sends AssistantLabs the order: its number, status, totals, coupon codes, products (name, quantity, price, image and product links), shipping method and tracking number, and the customer’s name, email, phone, order count and total spent. When a customer account is created or its contact details change, it sends that customer’s name, email, phone, order count and total spent. Staff accounts are never sent.
- Abandoned carts (off by default) — only after you turn on “Recover abandoned carts”: when a shopper enters an email address or phone number at checkout, the plugin saves their cart on this site for up to 30 days and sends AssistantLabs the cart contents (products, quantities, prices, coupons, total), the email, phone and name entered, a link that restores the cart, and their marketing consent when your checkout has an opt-in checkbox. When the cart is emptied or becomes an order, it sends a notice that the cart is gone and deletes the saved cart.
Store events are signed with the site’s shared secret and sent to the AssistantLabs API (https://server-150134556021.us-central1.run.app, path /vendor/wordpress/site/woocommerce/events). Saved carts can be exported and erased with WordPress’s personal-data tools (Tools Export / Erase Personal Data), and the plugin suggests text for your privacy policy (Settings Privacy).
