Plugin Description
Coug Latest Posts for Patreon connects a Patreon creator account to WordPress and automatically displays the creator’s latest Patreon publications.
The plugin is especially suited to creators who use a public teaser image before locked or premium content, including adult/NSFW Patreon creators.

Languages
English (US) is the source language. The plugin is fully internationalized using the native WordPress gettext system.
Translations for the WordPress.org release are managed and distributed through translate.wordpress.org and WordPress language packs rather than bundled .po/.mo files.
Preview images
The plugin uses the first usable image inserted into the free/public part of the Patreon post text as the WordPress preview image.
Images that exist only in Patreon galleries, attachments, or locked premium content are not imported as thumbnails.
For adult/NSFW creators, the recommended workflow is:
- Add a SFW or soft teaser image in the public/free section of the Patreon post.
- Keep explicit or premium content inside the locked Patreon section.
- The plugin displays the public teaser and links the visitor to Patreon.
If no usable public teaser image is found, the plugin displays its fallback card.

Displays the latest 3 Patreon posts.
[couglapo_latest_patreon count="1"]
Displays only the latest Patreon post.
[couglapo_latest_patreon count="6"]
Displays up to 6 cached Patreon posts.
External services
This plugin connects directly to Patreon because Patreon is the service that provides the creator posts displayed by the plugin.
The plugin may contact:
- Patreon API endpoints to retrieve the authenticated creator’s campaign and posts.
- Public Patreon post pages when a public preview needs to be detected.
- Patreon-owned media hosts to download a public teaser image into the local WordPress upload directory.
The Patreon API credentials entered by the administrator are sent only to Patreon as required for authentication. They are not sent to Coug or to servers controlled by the plugin author.
No visitor account data is sent to the plugin author.
