Customers Today turns successful website contact-form submissions into a clear list of customers
who need an answer.
Customers Today is a product and service of UnitedUnits B.V.
The plugin provides native WordPress screens for today’s customers, received-email history, and
settings. Authentication happens on the Customers Today website, so WordPress never receives your
Customers Today password.
The first release supports Contact Form 7 and keeps using your existing form and email
notifications.
External services
This plugin connects to the Customers Today service, operated by UnitedUnits B.V. The service is
required to connect the WordPress site to a Customers Today business account, deliver customer
enquiries, and display enquiry information in the plugin’s WordPress administration screens. The
plugin does not provide its enquiry-management functionality without this service.
The plugin does not contact the service until a site administrator deliberately starts the
connection process. The administrator is sent to https://customerstoday.app/ to authorize the
connection. The plugin then communicates with https://api.customerstoday.app/ using the resulting
authorization and connection credentials. These requests are made when the administrator connects
or disconnects the account, opens a Customers Today administration screen, creates an email
forwarding address, or changes an enquiry’s status.
After the administrator enables a supported form integration, the plugin sends data only after a
successful submission of an enabled form. The transmitted data can include the submitter’s name,
email address and phone number; the enquiry subject and message; the submission time; the source
page URL and title; the form name and identifier; the form provider; the site locale; and minimal
plugin metadata required to process and diagnose the delivery. Failed deliveries may be stored
temporarily in the site’s private retry queue and sent again automatically.
