Deinwebseitenchat Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
Deinwebseitenchat adds an AI chat widget to your WordPress site. The bot answers questions from your visitors using your own content — opening hours, services, prices, application processes, whatever you have published.
Setup happens inside WordPress. Install the plugin, create your account right on the settings screen, and the plugin creates your chatbot and switches the chat on — there is no API key to copy and no second browser tab. If you already have an account, paste your API key instead and pick your chatbot.
Built for GDPR (DSGVO)
The service is operated from Germany with a data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) available for every account. The widget sets no third-party cookies and stores only a session id in the browser’s local storage.
What the plugin does
- Loads the chat widget on your site — no theme editing, no code snippets
- Opens your account and creates your chatbot without leaving the WordPress admin
- Lets you change the name, the greeting, the colour and the position of the chat right here
- Shows the conversations your chatbot had, right inside WordPress, and marks the ones that produced a lead or a callback request
- Lets you hide the chat from logged-in editors while you work
- Lets you switch the chat off without deactivating the plugin
- Removes all its data when you uninstall it
Who it is for
Practices, law firms, tax advisors, associations, schools, workshops, local retailers and B2B companies — sites that keep answering the same handful of questions by phone and e-mail.
Account required
This plugin is a client for the deinwebseitenchat.de service and requires an account there. A free plan is available. The service is what generates the answers; the plugin only embeds it.
External services
This plugin connects to the deinwebseitenchat.de API, operated by Markus Kuhn.
What is sent and when
- When you create an account on the settings screen, the plugin sends your name, e-mail address, company name and password to the service and receives an API key, which is what it stores. The password itself is never stored in WordPress.
- When you enter or create an API key, the plugin asks the service for the list of chatbots in your account. Sent: your API key. Received: chatbot ids, names, and the greeting, colour and position of each.
- When you create a chatbot or save its settings, the plugin sends what you entered — name, website address, greeting, colour, position — to the service. Sent: your API key and those values.
- When you open the conversations screen in the WordPress admin, the plugin asks the service for the conversations of the selected chatbot, and for the messages of the conversation you open. Sent: your API key and the chatbot id. Received: conversation dates, opening questions, number of messages, messages and any lead or callback request. The answers are cached in WordPress for two minutes.
- When you publish or update a page or post of a selected type, the plugin sends its title, its address and its text to the service, so the chatbot can answer from it. Sent: your API key, the chatbot id and that content. Draft, private, password-protected and trashed content is never sent. Unpublishing or deleting a page removes its content from the service again. This transfer can be switched off in the settings.
- On the public side, the plugin loads the widget script from the service and passes the chatbot id you selected. Visitor messages typed into the chat are sent to the service to generate an answer.
No data is transmitted from the front end until a visitor actively opens the chat and sends a message.
