Plugin Description
A visitor lands on your site at 11pm with a question about shipping. The answer is on your shipping page. Nobody reads it, and nobody is awake to point there. That gap is what this plugin closes.
Click Connect, and DeskClone reads this website – your navigation, your policy pages, your product pages first – and builds a support agent from what you have already written. When it is ready, the chat appears on your site on its own: no key to paste, no theme files, nothing to configure. A visitor asks, your agent answers, from your own pages.
Try it yourself before your visitors do. The settings screen has a test panel where you can quiz your agent; test questions have a daily allowance of their own and never use your monthly conversations.

Prefer to do it by hand? The classic path is still here: paste a connection key from your DeskClone dashboard into the settings and the widget uses that instead. Nothing about the connected flow is required.
How the agent looks and behaves (name, welcome message, colors, which websites it may appear on) lives in your DeskClone dashboard, and a change there shows on your site straight away. The plugin does not keep a second copy of any of it.
About DeskClone AI
DeskClone AI is a hosted platform for building AI support agents. Beyond answering, agents can be given real jobs – looking up orders, processing refunds within limits you set, booking appointments – and you can describe what you need to Jarvis, the builder inside the platform, or hand it your documents. Paid plans add conversation capacity, automatic knowledge updates, more agents and more websites; the Free and Starter widgets show a small “Powered by DeskClone” line, which Pro and Business remove.
External services
This plugin connects to DeskClone AI, a hosted service operated by DeskClone (the entity named in its terms of service), and cannot work without it. Here is exactly what is sent, and when.
When you click Connect. A DeskClone sign-in window opens (you can use Google there). After you approve, this WordPress server exchanges a short-lived code for a connection credential and stores it in your database. The exchange sends the code and this site’s address. Nothing is sent before you click Connect.
When you build the agent. The plugin sends your site name and an ordered list of this site’s own page addresses (navigation, front page, policy pages, recent posts) so DeskClone reads the most useful pages first. DeskClone then fetches those public pages the way any visitor’s browser would.
On your public pages, when the widget is on. The visitor’s browser loads the widget script from https://agents.deskclone.ai/embed/chat.js and the chat talks to https://agents.deskclone.ai. What reaches DeskClone: the visitor’s messages, any file they choose to attach, the address and title of the page they are on, their browser’s timezone, and a name or email if your agent is set to ask. A random visitor id is stored in the visitor’s browser so a returning visitor can pick up their conversation. To keep bots out, the widget also loads Cloudflare Turnstile from https://challenges.cloudflare.com; Cloudflare’s terms (https://www.cloudflare.com/website-terms/) and privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/) apply to that check.
When you save or test a manual key. One request to https://agents.deskclone.ai carrying the key and this site’s address, so DeskClone can confirm the key belongs to a published agent allowed on this site.
Nothing is sent on activation, and nothing is ever sent in the background – every request above happens because you or a visitor did something. There is no analytics of any kind in the plugin. The connection credential can be revoked any time from your DeskClone dashboard; deleting the plugin removes the local copy and every option the plugin created.
