Plugin Description
This plugin adds the Engadi AI chat bubble to every page of your WordPress site.
Visitors click the bubble and chat with your AI agent — answers are grounded in
your own knowledge base, managed for you by Engadi (https://www.engadi.com).
The plugin only prints the official Engadi widget loader tag in your site’s
footer. It makes no remote calls from PHP and stores only two options: your
agent token and an optional chat language.
You need an active Engadi AI agent to use this plugin. Your agent token
(it looks like wgt_XXXX) is in your Engadi portal or onboarding email.
External services
This plugin connects your site to the Engadi AI service (https://www.engadi.com).
It does not work without it.
What it does: the plugin prints a script tag that loads the official Engadi
widget loader from https://www.engadi.com/widget.js in your visitors’ browsers.
When a visitor clicks the chat bubble, the widget opens a chat window (an
iframe served from engadi.com) connected to your Engadi AI agent.
What data is sent, and when: the chat messages a visitor types are sent to
Engadi’s servers to generate the agent’s answers, together with the technical
data needed to serve and protect the service (the visitor’s IP address for
rate limiting, and your agent token to identify which agent answers). This
only happens on pages where the widget is active; the plugin itself sends
nothing from your server via PHP.
