Plugin Description
Add a hockey equipment size finder to any page or post. Visitors enter a few body measurements and get the recommended size for each piece of gear, per brand, for both players and goalies.
The finder covers:
- Skates (by foot length or US shoe size), sticks (flex and length), helmets
- Shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, gloves and pants
- Goalie leg pads, chest protector, pants, glove and blocker, mask and skates
- Bauer, CCM and Warrior, male and female charts
- Centimetres/kilograms or inches/pounds, with a how-to-measure diagram for every measurement
It runs entirely in the visitor’s browser. Measurements are not sent anywhere or stored.

Where the sizes come from
The manufacturers’ published size charts are maintained at hockeysize.com and fetched once a day so they stay current. A bundled copy is used if the site cannot be reached. Charts belong to their respective manufacturers and are reproduced for sizing reference.
Development
The plugin’s source code and the size-chart data source are available at https://hockeysize.com/size-finder-plugin/ . The finder’s JavaScript and CSS are included unminified in the plugin, so no build step is required.
The optional “Powered by HockeySize” link is off by default and only appears if the site administrator enables it under Settings Hockey Size Finder. No links or credits are shown on the front end without that explicit choice.
External services
This plugin fetches hockey size-chart data from hockeysize.com so the sizes stay current.
- What: a read-only JSON request to https://hockeysize.com/wp-json/hockeysize/v1/charts
- When: once a day (cached), on a page that displays the finder; if the request fails, a copy of the data bundled with the plugin is used instead
- Data sent: none — it is a plain GET request with no personal data
