Hugoatcanada Dollar Blue Bubble adds a small floating widget to your WordPress site showing the current Argentine “Dollar Blue” exchange rate, fetched automatically from DolarAPI.com.
Built for Argentine stores and websites that price in US dollars and want visitors to see the reference exchange rate without leaving the page.

External services
This plugin connects to DolarAPI.com, a free, public, third-party API that provides the current Argentine “Dollar Blue” exchange rate. It is needed to show the up-to-date rate in the floating bubble and in the [dolar_blue_bubble_rate] shortcode.
- What is sent: no personal data, cookies, or user identifiers are sent. The plugin performs a plain, unauthenticated HTTP GET request to
https://dolarapi.com/v1/dolares/blueto retrieve the current buy/sell rate. - When it is sent: whenever the cached rate has expired (the cache duration is configurable in the plugin’s settings, 20 minutes by default) and a page where the bubble or the shortcode is used is visited.
- Response caching: the response is cached using WordPress transients to avoid querying the API on every page load.
This service is provided by DolarAPI.com (an open-source project): Legal notice / Terms. DolarAPI.com does not publish a separate privacy policy, as it is an unauthenticated, read-only API that does not require or process personal data from visitors of sites using it.
