Plugin Description
Lupovis Prowl Security is a WordPress plugin that checks visitor IPs against the Lupovis Prowl API and blocks malicious IPs before a breach. Additionally, it provides options for IP allowlisting, monitoring and blocking failed login attempts.

Configuration
- Go to the plugin’s settings page (Settings > Lupovis Prowl Security).
- Enter your Lupovis Prowl API key in the ‘API Key’ field.
- (Optional) To enable the monitoring of failed login attempts, check the ‘Monitor failed login attempts’ checkbox.
- (Optional) To add IP addresses to the allowlist, enter a comma-separated list of IP addresses in the ‘Allowlisted IPs’ field.
- Save your changes.

Please note that Lupovis Prowl Security relies on Lupovis Prowl, a third-party service, for its functionality. Specifically, Lupovis Prowl is used for:
- Verifying the validity of IP addresses.
Ensuring that the IP addresses used are not associated with known security threats.
This dependency means that certain user data, specifically the IP addresses entered into the plugin, will be transmitted to Lupovis Prowl for validation purposes. This will happen every time an IP address is being checked against incoming traffic.
Please ensure that you are comfortable with this data transmission before using Lupovis Prowl Security. If you have any concerns about this, you may wish to consider another solution that does not rely on third-party services.
