External Services
This plugin connects to the following external services:
Monitor.Cat Platform (app.monitor.cat)
When the Remote module is enabled, this plugin communicates with the Monitor.Cat SaaS platform at https://app.monitor.cat. This connection is used for:
- Pairing flow: When you click “Request Pairing Code” in the Setup Wizard, your site URL, site name, and admin email are sent to
app.monitor.cat/wp-connectto initiate the connection. - Status sync: When you click “Sync Status” on the Remote module page, the plugin calls
app.monitor.cat/api/v1/plugin/connect/{session}/statusto retrieve your connection status. - Remote commands: Once paired, the Monitor.Cat dashboard can send authenticated (HMAC-signed) commands to your site’s REST API to trigger backups, scans, and other operations.
No data is sent to Monitor.Cat until you explicitly initiate a connection through the Setup Wizard or Remote module settings.
