Plugin Description

Pryxo Document Listing & Category Filter adds a WordPress document manager and four ways to display your documents on the frontend: a [pryxdoli_documents] shortcode (works in the Classic Editor, text widgets, or any theme template), a Gutenberg block, an Elementor widget, and a WPBakery Page Builder element — for displaying PDF and file resources in a clean card, grid, or list layout.

The plugin works standalone; Elementor and WPBakery are entirely optional. If Elementor is active, the “Pryxo Document Listing” widget is registered automatically. If WPBakery is active, the “Pryxo Document Listing” element appears in its element list automatically. Neither is required to use the shortcode or the Gutenberg block.

Features include:

  • Backend document management with document categories.
  • PDF/file upload or HTTP(S) URL field.
  • Administrator-only document management by default.
  • HTTP(S)-only URL validation with common executable and active-content extensions blocked.
  • Per-document left and right icon selection from the full WordPress Dashicons library (~350 icons), with search.
  • Works with any editor: [pryxdoli_documents] shortcode, a Gutenberg block, an Elementor widget, and a WPBakery element.
  • A point-and-click Shortcode Builder admin page that generates a ready-to-paste shortcode.
  • One global Style Settings page (colors, borders, shadows, typography, hover effects, pagination) that applies to every listing, regardless of which builder displays it.
  • Optional background color/image per document card, and per listing section, overriding the global default.
  • Multi-category filtering (exclude specific categories per instance).
  • Optional All filter choice.
  • Optional default category when the All choice is disabled.
  • List or responsive grid layout.
  • Desktop, tablet, and mobile column controls.
  • Client-side items-per-page pagination.

Privacy note: The plugin does not send data to external services and does not include analytics or tracking. Document links displayed on the frontend are public links.
