Plugin Description

If your agency has an Idealista XML export, this plugin brings that portfolio into your own website and keeps it up to date on its own. Properties become native WordPress content — your theme styles them, your SEO plugin sees them, your permalinks own them. No third-party servers, no iframes, no rented pages.

What it does:

  • Synchronizes from the official Idealista XML export over FTP
  • Runs on its own via WP-Cron (every 1h / 3h / 6h / 12h / 24h)
  • Stores properties as a native custom post type (quidra_property), with taxonomies for location, property type and operation
  • Property listings in grid or list layout, with numbered pages, “Load more”, infinite scroll or previous/next
  • A property page with gallery, key specs, description, features, agent card and related properties
  • A contact form that emails each enquiry to your agency
  • Brand colors, corner radius and a choice of thirty-one font families, so listings match the rest of your site
  • Every template can be overridden from your active theme

Fonts are served from your own site by default. The two bundled families ship with the plugin, so a default install makes no request to Google Fonts. Pick any of the other twenty-nine families and it is loaded from Google Fonts instead — see “External services” below before you do.

Your whole feed is published. Every property is imported and kept up to date, and every property with photos is published. A property arrives as a draft only while Idealista has not sent photos for it, and publishes itself as soon as they do.

Cardee Technologies, SL. also makes a separate add-on, Quidra Pro; this plugin is complete without it.

External services

The plugin connects to the services below, only in the circumstances described. The two bundled
font families are served from your own site.

The FTP server of your Idealista XML export subscription

This is the whole point of the plugin, and the connection is to a server you configure.

When: every time properties are synchronized — on the schedule you choose in the Sync tab, or
when you click “Sync now”. Also when you click “Verify Connection”.
What is sent: the FTP host, port, username and password you entered, so the server can
authenticate you. Nothing about your site, your visitors or your WordPress installation is sent.
What is received: the XML export file of your own property portfolio.

The credentials are yours, issued by Idealista for your own subscription, and are stored encrypted
on your site. Service: Idealista — see their
terms of use and
privacy policy.

Idealista’s image servers

When: whenever a visitor views a property card, a listing or a property page. The photos of each
property and the agent’s photo are not copied to your site: the page shows them directly from the
addresses Idealista includes in your XML export.
What is sent: the visitor’s browser requests each image from Idealista’s servers, which receive
the visitor’s IP address and browser details, as with any image loaded from another site.
What is received: the images.
Service: Idealista — see their
terms of use and
privacy policy.

Google Fonts

Only if you choose a font that is not one of the two bundled with the plugin.

The Style tab offers a list of typefaces. Two of them — Plus Jakarta Sans and JetBrains Mono — ship
inside the plugin and are served from your own server. Plus Jakarta Sans is the default, so out of
the box no request to Google is made
. If you select any other family, the plugin enqueues that
stylesheet from Google’s CDN instead, and the tab tells you so before you choose.

When: on every page view of your site’s front end, while a non-bundled font is selected.
What is sent: the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent, as with any request to a third
party — this is what makes it relevant under the GDPR.
What is received: the font stylesheet and font files.

Service: Google Fonts — see the
Google Terms of Service and
Google Privacy Policy.

Social sharing links

The property page can show links to share a listing on WhatsApp, Facebook or X. These are ordinary
links, not embedded scripts
: nothing is loaded from those services and no data leaves your site
unless a visitor clicks one, at which point their own browser opens that site as it would with any
other link. No tracking pixel, iframe or SDK from those services is included.

Shortcodes

  • [quidra_listings] — Property listing with pagination.
  • [quidra_featured] — Featured properties widget.
  • [quidra_recent] — Recent properties widget.

Common attributes: operation, type, limit, layout, columns

Example: [quidra_listings operation="sale" type="flat" limit="12" layout="grid" columns="3"]
