Rakuten Viber Click to Chat seamlessly integrates a Viber chat button into your WordPress site, enabling visitors to start conversations directly with your team. Perfect for e-commerce stores, support teams, and customer engagement.
Requirements
A Viber Business account is required for the button to work. The button links to your number using a phone-based shortlink (viber.me), which only opens a chat if the number belongs to a Viber Business account that has the phone-based shortlink turned on. On the mobile device where Viber is installed:
- Create a Viber Business account (if you don’t have one):
viber://business/create?smb_utm_campaign=ACQ_wordpress_plugin - Opt in to the shortlink: open Privacy settings -> Phone-based shortlink and switch the toggle ON:
viber://business/manage?screen=share
Without step 2 enabled, the link will not open a chat.
