Restricted Media Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
Install and activate Restricted Media plugin, then enter the WordPress Media Library, select an element and look at the right sidebar. You’ll find two new fields:
- a checkbox that let’s you define if the selected element is to keep restricted or not
- an alternative URL for the element to download
When “Is restricted” checkbox is flagged, the selected element will get downloadable only to logged in users and only through the alternative URL (original URL will display a 404 page).
When “Is restricted” checkbox is not flagged, media element will be downloadable for not logged in users too, through both the original and the alternative URL.
So, what you need to do to keep a media private is to tick on “Is restricted”, copy the Alternative URL provided and paste it on pages or posts where you want the let the media to be downloaded: if a not logged in user tries to download it, he will be redirect to homepage or to the page you have defined into “Restricted Media” plugin options.
That’s it! Simple, effective and safe.
