SmartLabs File Manager Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
SmartLabs File Manager is a focused alternative to large, feature-heavy download management plugins. It gives editors a simple way to create file boxes from WordPress Media Library attachments and display them in posts or pages using a shortcode or block. Visitors can search, open, and download the listed files.
This submitted ZIP is a complete, standalone free plugin. It does not require an account or license key and does not contact our server. An optional Pro add-on is distributed separately outside WordPress.org; no Pro functionality is included or locked in this ZIP.
You attach files from the Media Library, choose the name visitors see, and place the box with a shortcode or the File box block.
Visitors get a list with the file icon, the display name, and the file type. Each row has a download link and a view link. When search is turned on for that box, visitors can filter the list without reloading the page.
Downloads are sent by WordPress. A file can be downloaded only when it is attached to a file box.
How to use
- Open File Manager in the admin menu and add a file box.
- Attach files, set a display name for each file, and drag the rows to change the order.
- Save the box and place it with the File box block, or with the shortcode
[slgfm_file_list id="123"]. - To let visitors search that box, turn on the search field in the box settings.
The interface is in English. Translations are provided by WordPress.org.
Pro add-on
SmartLabs File Manager Pro is sold and updated separately. It adds a grid layout, expiry dates, a QR code, custom styling, a password on the box, and a share link that can be regenerated or revoked.
When a box has a password, or a file has an expiry date, Pro copies that file out of the public uploads folder. The old media address stops working, and WordPress sends the file only after it checks the password and the date. The QR code opens the public page of the box. It does not open the share link.
On a server that ignores .htaccess, deny web access to wp-content/slg-fm-private.
