The Storyteller Text-to-Speech WordPress Plugin is powered by the AI-driven ElevenLabs platform that offers advanced tools for generating natural-sounding speech, including features for creating custom voices. ElevenLabs supports 32 languages with a lot of default voices. Additionally, it offers thousands of shared voices through the Voice Library Marketplace and tools for generating, cloning, and customizing voices.
The Storyteller plugin provides Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) support, allowing users to customize speech output for individual web pages or articles. This functionality enables adjustments like adding pauses, muting certain text parts, or integrating multiple voices and languages within a single article, making it particularly useful for online language courses or articles that feature interviews.
This product has been tested and is fully compatible with all major WordPress editors. Its highly flexible settings let you enable or disable it on specific pages, for different user groups, and across various devices (mobile, tablet, desktop).
A lot of useful functions and settings
Speech Templates offers to create custom templates by selecting the required page elements or custom fields to read only the required part of the text. Your templates can be assigned to specific post types.
Batch processing offers to significantly speed up the process of creating audio for all your posts using the familiar WordPress interface. Whether your site has 5 posts or 5,000, all content will be synthesized into audio files quickly and easily.
A customizable intro and outro for all synthesized speech files is a highly convenient feature for maintaining consistent branding. For instance, you can include a greeting or a copyright notice at the start and/or end of each speech file to ensure a cohesive and professional presentation.
Flexible design features enable you to personalize the player’s appearance and position it anywhere on the page. Additionally, you can include multiple players on a single page. For example, this is useful for embedding audio versions of multiple articles within one article to preserve the overall context of the story.
The Storyteller is GDPR-compliant, ensuring it does not access or transmit private or non-public page content. Audio for a post or page is created using the publicly available page markup. Therefore, if you have password-protected content restricted to specific users or groups, the plugin will not be able to process it.
You can enable displaying the download link next to the player on both the Front-end and the Back-end.
With the Storyteller, you can not only create an audio version of your text entries, but also construct an RSS feed for publishing on the largest podcasting services, such as Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and more.
Storyteller is fully cross-browser. It does not matter which browser users view your site.
