How it works
- Sign up free at sukar.io and add your website
- Install this plugin from Plugins > Add New (search for “Sukar Live Chat”) and activate it
- Open Sukar Chat in the admin sidebar, paste your Widget Key and click Connect
External services
This plugin connects your site to Sukar.io, a third-party live chat service. It is required for the plugin to work. Nothing is loaded until you enter a Widget Key.
When a Widget Key is set, every front-end page loads the chat widget script from https://api.sukar.io/widget.js (or the API URL set under Advanced settings). The widget then connects to the Sukar.io servers to send and receive chat messages.
The following data is sent to Sukar.io:
- Your Widget Key and the address of the page the visitor is on, every time a page loads.
- Messages the visitor types in the chat, and any name or email they give in the chat.
- If Auto-identify users is on (default) and the visitor is logged in to WordPress: their display name and email address.
- If WooCommerce tracking is on (default) and WooCommerce is active: the product being viewed (ID, name, price, URL, currency) and the cart total and item count.
Both options can be turned off under Sukar Chat > Advanced settings.
