Widget For Akilio AI Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
Adds the Widget for Akilio AI widget to a WordPress website using the vanilla JavaScript widget bundle.
External services
This plugin requires the external Akilio AI service, provided by Hachther, and an Akilio account with a configured workspace/project. The assistant’s JavaScript and AI service are hosted outside your WordPress installation. Enabling this plugin’s widget causes visitors’ browsers to contact the services described below.
Akilio widget hosting
On eligible public pages, the browser downloads the widget loader and its required assets from https://cdn.akilio-ai.com/widget/loader.js. This supplies the assistant interface and its updates. As with any external download, the hosting service receives the visitor’s IP address and browser request information, including the user agent and any referrer sent under the site’s referrer policy.
Akilio API
The widget connects to https://api.akilio-ai.com for workspace configuration, conversation sessions, AI answers, and supported assistant actions. It receives the public project key, selected language, display settings, channel/audience, current page URL, and page title from the plugin. The widget can send page context and session/conversation identifiers to the API to initialize the experience, maintain conversation continuity, and record supported interaction events.
When a visitor sends a message, the message text and relevant conversation/page context are sent to Akilio to generate an answer. When available and used, feedback, contact or human-support requests, and commerce actions send the details the visitor submits and the relevant message, conversation, product, or cart identifiers. If voice input is available and the visitor chooses it, recorded audio is sent for transcription. Feature availability depends on the Akilio workspace and hosted widget configuration. API requests also expose the visitor’s IP address and normal browser request metadata to the service. The hosted widget may store session-continuation information and interface preferences in the browser.
When requests occur
The plugin adds the external widget only when it is enabled and a public project key is available. It does not add it to WordPress administration, AJAX or JSON requests, excluded paths, or logged-in visits when loading for logged-in users is disabled. When managed by the separate Akilio for WooCommerce plugin, the widget also stays hidden until that connection is ready. Configuration/session requests can occur when the widget initializes, before a visitor sends a message; message and optional-action data are sent when those features are used. Enabling the widget is not itself a visitor-consent mechanism. Review your site’s consent requirements before enabling it.
This widget plugin does not itself upload the WordPress database, posts, user passwords, private API keys, or the WooCommerce catalog. A separately installed commerce connector has its own data flows. Information visitors type into the assistant can contain personal data; explain that processing in your site’s privacy notice.
Akilio service policies (also applicable to its widget-hosting and API services):
- Terms of Service: https://akilio-ai.com/en/terms
- Privacy Policy: https://akilio-ai.com/en/privacy
Requirements
- WordPress 6.0+
- PHP 8.0+
- An Akilio project key from the Akilio dashboard
- The website domain must be added to the Akilio project’s allowed domains
CDN integration used by the plugin
The plugin injects a script like this in the public website footer:
`html
`<h3>Excluding pages</h3>
Use Excluded paths in settings. One path per line. Prefix matching is used.
Example:
`txt
/wp-admin
/wp-login.php
/checkout
/account
`
Security notes
- The plugin only exposes the public project key, never a secret key.
- The Akilio backend should validate the request origin against the project’s allowed domains.
- Do not store private API keys in this plugin.
Developer notes
Main files:
`txt
widget-for-akilio-ai.php
includes/class-widget-for-akilio-ai.php
assets/css/admin.css
`
The plugin does not bundle the widget code. It loads the minified vanilla bundle from your CDN.
WooCommerce integration
With Akilio for WooCommerce connected, this plugin receives the workspace and WooCommerce channel automatically. Enable the widget here and keep your language, display mode, logged-in visitor and excluded-path preferences. The assistant stays hidden until the store connection is verified and activated in Akilio. Store credentials are never passed to the widget. Standalone project settings are retained when the store integration is disconnected.
1.1.0
Support automatic public configuration from Akilio for WooCommerce while retaining a single widget renderer and activation checks.
