Plugin Description
Xaurr for WooCommerce adds “Pay with Xaurr” to your checkout.
- The customer places the order and a secure Xaurr window opens right there on your checkout page to pay with the methods Xaurr offers, such as mobile money, card or bank transfer. The address bar keeps showing your own shop the whole time, and their payment details never touch your site.
- Once they pay, they are brought back to your order-received page automatically.
- Your order is marked paid (Processing) only once Xaurr confirms it is safe to ship, meaning your payout is confirmed. Until then it stays On hold.
- A refund started from your order (or at Xaurr) marks the order Refunded.
- Works with the classic checkout and the block-based checkout.
- Orders in US dollars are accepted: the buyer pays in local currency at the live exchange rate.
- You choose in Xaurr whether you are paid out the same day or the next working day. Same day takes mobile money only, so keep Next day if you take cards.
Test mode uses a test key and moves no real money. Live mode uses your live key and takes real payments once Xaurr has opened live checkout for your account.
Your shop needs a Xaurr Business account (free to open at https://xaurr.com) with a receiving account for your payouts (mobile money or bank) in a country where Xaurr pays out.
External services
This plugin connects to Xaurr (https://xaurr.com), the payment service that takes the payment. It is needed for the plugin to work: without it there is nothing to pay with.
- When a customer places an order and chooses Pay with Xaurr, the plugin sends the Xaurr Checkout API (https://api.xaurr.com) the order reference, the amount and currency, a title made of the order number and your shop’s name, a short list of the items and quantities, and the addresses of your order-received and checkout pages. Xaurr returns a payment page.
- The customer then pays in a Xaurr window loaded from https://xaurr.com. Their mobile money number, card or bank details and the payment itself go to Xaurr only, never to your site.
- To keep your orders up to date, the plugin asks the Xaurr Checkout API for the status of orders that are still open: when the customer returns to your shop, and every few minutes.
- When you refund an order from WooCommerce, the plugin sends the refund request (the order reference and the amount) to the Xaurr Checkout API.
- If you add the optional webhook, Xaurr sends payment and refund updates for your orders to your site’s webhook address, signed with a secret only you and Xaurr hold.
