GameEngine – Gamification For Website Wordpress Plugin - Rating, Reviews, Demo & Download
Plugin Description
GameEngine is a complete gamification engine designed to boost user engagement. It allows you to create a fun, interactive experience by rewarding users with points, achievements, and levels for participating on your site.
Whether you run a blog, an e-learning platform, or an e-commerce store, GameEngine helps you motivate your users by turning site interactions into a rewarding game.
Key Features:
- Powerful Points System: Award points for registration, daily visits, post publishing, and more.
- Customizable Point Types: Create multiple types of points like Coins, Gems, or XP.
- Achievements & Badges: Define achievements that users can unlock by completing specific tasks.
- Level System: Create levels (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) that users earn from a points threshold or from any trigger.
- Integrations: Award points for activity in WooCommerce, StoreEngine, Academy LMS and Tutor LMS.
- Activity: The points, achievement and level-up notifications sent to members, on one screen, searchable and filterable by type.
- Add-ons: Restrict Unlock, Progress Map, Restrict Content and a Rewards Store where members spend their points, all included and enabled from the Add-ons screen.
- Shortcodes: Drop points balances, achievement lists, level roadmaps, progress maps, leaderboards, a rewards catalog and profile dashboards anywhere on your site.
Every feature listed above is included and fully functional. Nothing in this plugin is limited by a key, a trial, a quota or a time limit.
The complete uncompiled source code is public at https://github.com/imrantushar/gameengine and also ships inside the plugin, in dev_gameengine/ and assets/scss/. See “Source code” below.
External services
This plugin does not connect to any external service. It makes no HTTP requests to any third party, sends no data off your site, and loads no remote fonts, scripts, stylesheets or images. Everything it needs is bundled with the plugin and served from your own site. No data about you, your site or your visitors is transmitted anywhere.
For completeness, the only external addresses that appear anywhere in the plugin are ordinary hyperlinks in the admin screens:
- gameengine.pro — the plugin’s documentation site. The “?” buttons beside each shortcode, the links on the Add-ons screen and the “Get Pro” menu item point here. Operated by Kodezen Limited.
- kodezen.com — the author’s site, linked from the plugin header.
Nothing is requested from either address unless you click one of those links, at which point your browser visits the page exactly as it would any other website. The plugin sends nothing to them, in the background or otherwise, and it works identically with no internet connection at all.
Both sites are operated by Kodezen Limited. Their terms of service are at https://kodezen.com/terms/ and their privacy policy is at https://kodezen.com/privacy-policy/.
Source code
The full, uncompiled source for this plugin is public at https://github.com/imrantushar/gameengine and a copy of it also ships inside the plugin itself, so nothing has to be downloaded to read or rebuild it.
dev_gameengine/ is this plugin's source directory — the equivalent of `src/` in most projects, under an older name this project has always used. `assets/scss/` holds the Sass.
The only generated files are in assets/build/, plus the translation template in languages/. Each bundle and stylesheet below is named after the source file it is built from and begins with a comment naming that source and the command that rebuilds it; the other generated files are listed with what generates them:
assets/build/backend.js— built fromdev_gameengine/backend.js(the admin app)assets/build/frontend.js— built fromdev_gameengine/frontend.js(the frontend script)assets/build/setup.js— built fromdev_gameengine/setup.js(the setup wizard)assets/build/backend.css— built fromassets/scss/backend.scssassets/build/frontend.css— built fromassets/scss/frontend.scssassets/build/setup.css— built fromassets/scss/setup.scssassets/build/*-rtl.css— the same Sass, flipped by the buildassets/build/*.asset.php— generated by the build; lists that bundle’s script dependencies and its content hashassets/build/i18n-strings.js— generated bybuild-tools/make-i18n-strings.mjsfromlanguages/gameengine.pot; see below
Those three entry points pull in the rest of dev_gameengine/, the complete uncompiled React source: components/, containers/, redux/, hooks/, utils/ and frontend/. Nothing in this plugin is obfuscated, and nothing is minified without its source beside it.
The build is @wordpress/scripts (webpack + Babel + Sass) with Tailwind CSS and PostCSS. Every configuration file ships too: webpack.config.js maps the entry points to their output, with tailwind.config.js, postcss.config.js, jsconfig.json, package.json and package-lock.json for an exact, reproducible dependency tree.
To rebuild everything in assets/build/ from the sources included here, run the following in the plugin directory with Node.js 18 or newer:
npm install
npm run build
npm run start gives the same build in watch mode for development.
npm run makepot regenerates `languages/gameengine.pot` and `assets/build/i18n-strings.js`, and needs WP-CLI. The string extractor used by WordPress.org cannot parse `assets/build/backend.js`, so `i18n-strings.js` lists the same JavaScript strings as plain `__()` calls it can read. It is never executed; it exists so the admin screens and setup wizard can be translated, and it is loaded as a dependency of both.
PHP dependencies are declared in composer.json, with composer.lock pinning exact versions; composer install installs them.
README.md in the plugin directory repeats all of this.
