Plugin Description

Tickets, Timeslot Tickets & Passes for WooCommerce turns any WooCommerce store into a full ticketing and membership system for venues, attractions, events and clubs – no separate booking platform, no third-party ticketing subscription, no per-ticket fees.

Sell three kinds of admission product straight from your existing WooCommerce catalogue – Tickets, Timeslot Tickets and Passes – and every purchase automatically issues a scannable QR code. What makes it different from most WooCommerce ticketing add-ons is that the whole door operation ships in the box: a phone-friendly check-in scanner at a dedicated URL, a restricted Scanner role for door staff who shouldn’t have full admin access, automatic release of unpaid timeslot reservations so seats are never held indefinitely, and an analytics dashboard of check-in activity – all built on top of the WooCommerce you already run, with no external service to configure or pay for.

Key Features

Three admission product types

  • Ticket – a simple, non-timed admission product with a validity window and a configurable number of uses.
  • Timeslot Ticket – admission tied to a specific date and time. Timeslots can be generated on a recurring schedule automatically, and unpaid reservations are released again on their own so seats are never held indefinitely by an abandoned checkout.
  • Pass – a membership valid across a whole period rather than a single visit. Supports optional guest passes so a passholder can share admission with someone else, and an optional cardholder photo that door staff can check against the person presenting the pass.

Built-in QR check-in scanner

  • A full-screen, phone-friendly scanner at its own /check-in/ URL – no wp-admin, no theme chrome, no admin bar to distract door staff.
  • Colour-coded scan results: valid, already used, expired, on cooldown or not found, with the colours themselves fully customizable.
  • Works in any modern mobile browser. It uses the device’s native barcode detector where available and falls back to in-page decoding elsewhere, so door staff never install an app.
  • Pass scans show the cardholder’s photo, so staff can confirm the person at the door matches the pass.
  • A dedicated Scanner user role gives door staff check-in access only, without granting them any other access to your site or store.
  • A check-in API sits behind the scanner, so a third-party scanner app can validate tickets too, if you prefer not to use the built-in one.

Tools for shop managers

  • Dedicated dashboards for tickets, timeslot tickets and passes, each with search, manual check-in, resend, reset and cancel actions.
  • An analytics dashboard showing check-in activity over time.
  • An Event Calendar block for any page, showing visitors which dates have tickets or timeslots available before they even reach the product page.
  • Full colour and copy customization per product type – accent, text, border, background and hint colours, plus the hint text shown to customers – so each ticket type can match your brand.
  • Everything is gated on the manage_woocommerce capability, so Shop Managers can run the door without being handed full Administrator accounts.

Tools for customers

  • Tickets and Passes tabs are added to the standard WooCommerce My Account page.
  • Customers can view their QR codes, download a printable PDF, upload a pass photo where you have enabled it, and hand out any guest passes included with their pass.

Automated emails

Order confirmation emails are automatically extended with ticket, timeslot ticket and pass details, and four further email templates cover resending a ticket, resending a pass, and inviting a guest pass recipient by email (whether or not they already have an account) – every subject line and message body is editable from wp-admin, with merge tags for live order and ticket details.

Runs on autopilot

Two background jobs keep everything current without any manual maintenance: an hourly job generates the next batch of recurring timeslots, and a per-minute job releases timeslot reservations that were never paid for, so availability always reflects real demand.

Requirements

WooCommerce must be installed and active. WordPress will enforce this for you.

Configuration

Settings live under Ticket & Passes > Settings in wp-admin, split across six tabs. Each tab only needs to be configured for the product types you actually plan to sell.

General

  • Display Date Format – controls how dates and times are shown across the plugin’s dashboards and customer-facing pages.
  • Enable Analytics Dashboard – adds a dashboard showing check-in and sales statistics for tickets, timeslot tickets and passes.

Ticket

  • Enable Ticket Product – turns the simple, non-timed Ticket product type on, so it appears in the WooCommerce product type dropdown.
  • Accent Color – the card border and button colour used for regular tickets on the customer’s My Account > Tickets page.

Timeslot Ticket

  • Enable Timeslot Ticket Product – turns the date-and-time-based Timeslot Ticket product type on.
  • Date Picker Hint Text – the text shown above the date picker on the product page, guiding customers to pick a date and then a time.
  • Seven colour settings (accent, text, border, background, hint, day name and month/year title) – control the look of the date and timeslot picker to match your site’s design.

Pass

  • Enable Pass Product – turns the long-validity Pass product type on.
  • Persons Section Hint Text – the text shown above the person fields on the pass product page, explaining what a customer should fill in for each person the pass covers.
  • Five colour settings (accent, text, border, background and hint) – style the per-person cards on the pass product page.
  • Profile Photo Upload Path – where pass profile photos are stored on disk, relative to wp-content/uploads. For security, keep this folder outside any publicly executable location and without execution permissions.

Scanner / API

  • Enable API – turns the check-in REST endpoints on or off. These are what any scanner app, including the built-in one, uses to validate a ticket. Turn this off only if you don’t use any scanner at all; the endpoints won’t be registered.
  • Enable built-in scanner – turns the /check-in/ phone scanner page on or off. Leave this off if you check people in with a third-party scanner app instead – the API above still works either way. The scanner URL is shown on this screen once enabled.
  • Successful Check-in / Not Valid or Already Used / Invalid Request colours – the three colours the scanner shows for a successful scan, a scan outside its valid window (or already used, expired or on cooldown), and a request that doesn’t match any known ticket, timeslot ticket or pass.

Email

Five templates, each with an editable subject (where applicable) and message body using WordPress’s normal rich text editor, with merge tags available for order and ticket details:

  • WooCommerce Order Confirmation – text appended to the normal WooCommerce order confirmation email whenever the order contains a ticket, timeslot ticket or pass.
  • Resend Ticket and Resend Pass – sent when a customer or admin manually resends a QR code from the order screen or the customer’s account dashboard.
  • Guest Pass Invite – New User and Guest Pass Invite – Existing User – sent to a guest pass recipient, with separate wording depending on whether they already have an account on your site.

Adding the Event Calendar

To show visitors which dates have availability before they reach a product page, add the Event Calendar block to any page or post through the block editor and search for “Event Calendar”. It displays the days that have a Ticket or Timeslot Ticket product available, and how many months ahead to show is configurable per block instance.

Source Code and Third-Party Libraries

This plugin ships no compiled or obfuscated code. Every PHP, JavaScript and CSS file
written for this plugin is included in readable, editable form, and no build step
(npm, webpack, Composer, etc.) is required to run or modify it. The block in
inc/blocks/event-calendar/ is plain JavaScript using the global wp.* APIs, not a
bundled build artifact.

The following third-party libraries are bundled unmodified. Each is the upstream
distribution file, at the version listed:

  • dompdf 3.1.6 – PDF rendering – https://github.com/dompdf/dompdf – LGPL-2.1
(bundled in inc/functions/lib/dompdf/, installed with Composer, together with its
    dependencies dompdf/php-font-lib 1.0.2, dompdf/php-svg-lib 1.0.2, masterminds/html5
    2.10.1, sabberworm/php-css-parser 9.4.0 and thecodingmachine/safe 3.4.0)
  • endroid/qr-code 5.1.0 – QR code generation – https://github.com/endroid/qr-code – MIT
(bundled in inc/functions/lib/qrcodegen/, installed with Composer, together with its
    dependencies bacon/bacon-qr-code 3.0.1 and dasprid/enum 1.0.6)
  • jsQR 1.4.0 – QR decoding in the check-in scanner – https://github.com/cozmo/jsQR – Apache-2.0
    (inc/scanner/js/jsqr.js)
  • ApexCharts 6.9.0 – charts on the analytics screen – https://github.com/apexcharts/apexcharts.js – MIT
    (inc/analytics-dashboard/lib/apexcharts.min.js)
  • Air Datepicker 3.6.0 – date picker for timeslots – https://github.com/t1m0n/air-datepicker – MIT
    (lib/air-datepicker/)

The two Composer-installed libraries can be regenerated from their composer.json with
composer install; the three JavaScript libraries are the unmodified dist files
published by their projects on npm, and their readable sources live in the linked
repositories.
