Plugin Description
This plugin is the opt-in alternative to Xt4b’s hosted blog. Instead of serving
posts from a blog hostname, it reads them from Xt4b’s API and creates ordinary
WordPress posts, so your editorial process can stay in wp-admin.
New to Xt4b? It is the service this plugin imports from: you connect your domain,
Xt4b finds the searches you are missing, writes a post for each one, and publishes
them to a blog on your own domain. Read about it, and create an account, at
https://xt4b.com. The trial is seven days and needs no card. The plugin does
nothing until you paste an API key, so start there if you are only browsing.
- Pull, never push. WordPress does not need to be reachable from the internet;
the API key is a read-only credential scoped to your Xt4b account. - Idempotent. Every import is matched to its local post by
_xt4b_post_id,
and a content fingerprint means an unchanged post is never rewritten. - Safe by default. New posts arrive as drafts, in the default category, with
no publishing until you release them. - Reconciles unpublishes. If a post is no longer published in Xt4b, you choose
whether the local copy goes back to draft, goes to the trash, or is left alone. - No inbound endpoint, no file writes. Nothing outside WordPress is contacted
except the Xt4b API, over HTTPS.
