Plugin Description

Cloud’s Inventory is a hosted inventory app for small shops. It tracks stock by department, with lot numbers and expiry alerts, purchase orders, staff PIN logins with roles, and a tamper-evident scan log. When your WooCommerce store gets an order, Cloud’s Inventory deducts the stock by SKU automatically.

This plugin is a small helper. It adds a Cloud’s Inventory page under the WooCommerce menu that:

  • walks you through connecting your store,
  • shows your store address so you can paste it into the app,
  • shows whether the connection is working (it reads the WooCommerce REST API key and order webhooks that the app created, from your own site’s database), and
  • links to where you can revoke the connection at any time.

The plugin itself is free and complete. It does not lock any feature behind payment. Cloud’s Inventory, the separate hosted service, has a 14-day free trial and paid plans.

How it works

  1. Create an account at cloudsinventory.com (14-day free trial).
  2. In the app, open Settings, find WooCommerce, enter your store address and click Connect.
  3. WooCommerce asks you to approve a read/write REST API key for the app. Approve it.
  4. New orders now deduct stock in Cloud’s Inventory automatically. Two-way stock sync back to your store is off unless you turn it on in the app.

External services

This plugin does not itself send any data to any outside server. It links to the Cloud’s Inventory service, which you may choose to use:

Cloud’s Inventory (https://cloudsinventory.com) is the hosted inventory service this plugin helps you connect to.

  • When you choose to connect, you approve a WooCommerce REST API key (read/write) in WooCommerce’s own approval screen. The service then reads your product list (names, SKUs, quantities) and receives new-order webhooks (line items and SKUs, not customer details) from your store.
  • Terms of service: https://cloudsinventory.com/terms.html
  • Privacy policy: https://cloudsinventory.com/privacy.html

Connecting is optional and happens only when you click Connect inside the Cloud’s Inventory app. You can revoke the key any time under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.
